A bespoke interactive two day training course for those travelling overseas working in relief, development and mission to develop advanced practical skills and a robust in-depth knowledge of how to respond to a wide range of unexpected events.The course is aimed at those on long-term assignments as well as managers and emergency response personnel and ample time is given for learners to apply and practise these skills when faced with critical incidents and situations in a safe and supportive learning environment.
The successful completion of this course will lead to the award of the British Red Cross endorsed First Aid & Travel Health Certificate, valid for 3 years.

*Managing suspected fractures
*Controlling blood loss
*Contents of a first aid kit
*Management of a blocked airway
*Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
*Dealing with burns and scalds
*Understanding malaria
*Understanding rabies
*Managing high fevers and dehydration
*Overview of global infectious diseases
