Crowe Clark Whitehill USAID workshop
As more organisations receive USAID funds either directly or as sub-recipients it is important to understand the complex rules and regulations.
CCW will have Steve Kroll present a one day participatory workshop on the best business practices and changing USAID environment that are critical for you to know as you either pursue or manage existing US government funding. The aim is to cover finance, procurement, cost share, A122 and property as well as agreement terms and conditions.
Steve who has managed USAID's financial audit program, been Vice President of International Operations and CFO for not-for-profits, will touch on the key requirements of financial property and procurement management systems. He will impart on you his advice on how to improve your business operations and mitigate risks with US funding based on his extensive worldwide training, site assessments of country offices, and rescuing of well-intentioned but management challenged organizations.
Steve is a CPA with twenty-seven years of diversified experience in for-profit and not-for-profit sectors and with extensive experience and expertise with international operations and foreign aid funding.
Steve worked at USAID for six years, latterly as the Chief of Contract Audit Management Branch. In this role he developed and managed USAID's financial audit branch which was responsible for financial audits of approximately 1,000 US based for-profit and non-profit organizations. He also provided expert accounting and audit guidance, and liaison services to USAID's 120 contracting officers located worldwide; controllers; activity managers; general counsel; and US and non-US based recipients.
The workshop will take place between 9.30am and 5.30pm on Tuesday 10th of July at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London. There will be a charge of £150 plus VAT to cover administration costs to attend the event, and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
