TorqAid will be holding one of its regular Disaster Risk Management (DRM) workshops in Melbourne, Australia from the 7-10 August. Details of this can be found at http://www.torqaid.com/images/stories/melbdrmaug2012.pdf. This is a four day practical workshop, which, when complemented by the optional assignment is accredited at postgraduate level by five Australian universities, namely development Studies (Deakin/RMIT/Murdoch); International Health (Curtin); and Emergency Management (Charles Sturt). Over the past decade, over 25 DRMs have been facilitated both in Australia and overseas (Asian-pacific, African and European regions).
