Events
This section of the website provides information about forthcoming ALNAP meetings, events where ALNAP will be represented, and meetings and events from across the membership.
ALNAP members can use our online forum and blogs to discuss and debate issues and themes that have emerged from meetings or that members would like ALNAP to consider in future meetings.
ALNAP Annual Meetings
Annual Meetings aim to bring together Members from across the humanitarian sector to share information and perspectives on key issues relevant to learning, accountability and performance.
Each Annual Meeting is hosted by a Full Member organisation focusing on a particular theme relevant to the work of ALNAP and its members.
The last ALNAP Meeting was held in Chennai, India, in January 2012. The theme of the meeting was The Urban Challenge: Adapting humanitarian response to a changing world. Presentations and other meeting resources can be accessed here.

ALNAP workshops
Following requests from the ALNAP membership, the Secretariat has begun hosting smaller Workshop events on specific themes relevant to our workplan.
Strengthening Humanitarian Evaluation Capacity workshop
The first of these workshops was hosted in London in Sept 2010 and examined 'Strengthening Humanitarian Evaluation Capacity'. Read about the meeting and this stream of ALNAP's work here.
Supporting Innovation in Humanitarian Organisations
In April 2011 ALNAP hosted this workshop in Geneva, building on our knowledge and expertise around innovation, the workshop used real world cases presented by those experienced in implementing operational innovations. Participants then explored practical ways in which agencies can promote innovations as key to improving performance.
You can learn more about this from the Workshop Outline
