Dear All, I am conducting the systematic analysis for a set of existing evaluation reports in humanitarian assistance and emergency response, could you please share with me any similar research, studies, academic papers, or web links related for the topic. Your kind help will be appreciated. Thank you, Anis

Hi Anis,
You've come to the right place! ALNAP has done a number of evaluation syntheses and quality reviews over the last decade. Depending on what your focus is, you might also find our Evaluative Reports Database (ERD) useful, which hosts hundreds of documents (including sythesis studies) most of them commissioned by our member agencies. Be sure to also take a look at our State of the Humanitarian System report, published earlier this year and offering a snapshot of the current humanitarian system.
Best regards,Franziska

Hi Anis - you may also like to look at ALNAP's lessons learned papers, which are based on evaluations of humanitarian action. Your work sounds extremely interesting - will you be able to share a copy with the ALNAP membership?

Anis,
I conducted a study in this vein a few years ago for CARE and as part of my dissertation work. You can find a description of it in this e-journal piece: Oliver, Monica. 2009. "Metaevaluation as a means of Means of Examining Evaluation Influence." Journal of Multidisciplinary Evaluation, 6(11) 32-37.
Regards,Monica
