ALNAP initiatives
ALNAP's work is organised into distinct initiatives, each designed to contribute to improved performance in the humanitarian sector, through processes of learning and accountability. ALNAP members collaborate on initiatives of particular mutual interest.
Some initiatives are core-funded as part of ALNAP’s workplan, while others are funded separately. Initiatives can vary in scale, scope and focus, but they all:
- require approval by the steering commitee on behalf of the ALNAP membership
- involve processes of learning, knowledge-sharing and research, usually as part of collaborative, network-wide processes
- result in a range of different outputs, such as reports, papers, studies, meetings or workshops
- contribute specifically to helping the ALNAP secretariat and members to implement the 2008-2013 strategy.
