Review of Humanitarian Action Series

The 7th Review of Humanitarian Action was published in June 2008, and addresses organisational change, the Pakistan Earthquake response and joint evaluations of humanitarian action. The 8th review will be published in July 2009.

The ALNAP Review of Humanitarian Action (RHA) is published annually. It aims to enhance analysis and understanding of key trends and issues relating to humanitarian performance as a means of supporting improvement in sector-wide performance.

Each review contains chapters which may be:

• an overview assessing key issues in humanitarian performance across the sector
• themed to address new, previously unexplored areas of interest and value for the ALNAP membership and the sector as a whole 
• an evaluation synthesis reviewing recent humanitarian performance and lessons learned, based on evaluative material submitted to ALNAP by members and other agencies
• a review of a specific aspect of humanitarian evaluation quality or assessing the quality of humanitarian evaluations.
