About us

The Emergency Nutrition Network (ENN) was formed in 1996 and is the result of a shared commitment to improve knowledge, stimulate learning and provide vital support and encouragement to food and nutrition workers involved in emergencies. The network aims to improve emergency food and nutrition programme effectiveness by:

• Providing a forum for the exchange of field level experiences through the publication of Field Exchange

• Strengthening humanitarian agency institutional memory and capacity development of humanitarian agency staff

• Keeping field staff up to date with current research and evaluation findings and providing real-time technical support for operational staff in the field (through an interactive forum ‘en-net’).

• Helping to identify subjects in the emergency food and nutrition sector which need more research and initiating research programme in collaboration with humanitarian agencies to address these research needs.
