About us

SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is a humanitarian NGO which provides assistance to victims of war or natural disaster, with respect for the populations customs, culture and dignity. Established over 30 years ago in Afghanistan, it shares the same “without borders” approach common to the French-based NGOs founded at that time, and is currently carrying out around 90 humanitarian aid projects in 15 countries worldwide.

SI has concentrated its action on meeting three vital needs, water, food and shelter, and is particularly committed to fighting water-borne diseases, the most frequent cause of death worldwide.

Assisting from the very first days of a crisis, SI also aims at supporting the populations over the reconstruction period, to restore both their livelihood and their access to drinking water and sanitation.

A result based management approach and a people centred approach are the two pillars of SI’s operational strategy.
