The State of the Humanitarian System 2012
What is the State of the Humanitarian System report?
The first State of the Humanitarian System report 2012 is an ambitious snapshot of the entire humanitarian system. Commissioned by ALNAP and authored by Humanitarian Outcomes, it outlines what's working, what's not, and how the sector has been performing in 2009-2010. Uniquely, it incorporates perspectives from those who receive aid, as well as practitioners from across the globe and at all levels of seniority.
What was the initial reaction to the report?
Below, you can access the presentation and videos from the launch event in London, including reactions to the report from Oxfam, MSF and the British Red Cross. You can also download the report in Spanish, French and English. The animated video provides a brief overview of the overarching messages that emerged from the report.
What are the next steps?
Another report in this State of the Humanitarian System series is scheduled to be released within the next two years. Like the State of the System 2012, it will offer those involved in humanitarian policy and practice an insight into the 'bigger picture' of trends and performance in the sector.
