About me
Alice is leading ALNAP’s work on effectiveness and innovation. She is currently representing ALNAP on the Effectiveness Thematic Team for the World Humanitarian Summit and overseeing the production of a set of briefing papers on effectiveness as part of ALNAP’s contribution to the WHS consultative process. Alice is also working to synthesise learning on innovation generated by the experiences of Humanitarian Innovation Fund grantees.
Alice came to ALNAP from the Humanitarian Futures Programme, based at King’s College, London, where she led a 3-year project providing capacity building and technical support to the humanitarian directorate of the ECOWAS Commission. She earned her PhD in 2011 from the London School of Economics for a thesis on the ethics and legitimacy of Non-Governmental Organisations and has written and researched extensively on accountability, including at the think tank The One World Trust and in academic publications.
