About me

Alexandre Gachoud was born and raised in Switzerland and developed a strong interest for international cooperation the first time he travelled to Haiti as a young boy. Alexandre has an MA in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International Studies and an MA at Kings College London in Disasters, Adaptation and Development. He has worked previously in Haiti and West Africa with WFP and Oxfam. Alexandre now works at Oxfam in a global role where he is the markets lead, and previously ran the regional FSL centres for East and Southern Africa for Oxfam. He has extensive experience with cash and markets programming in rural and increasingly in urban contexts.
