The objectives of this evaluation are:

The findings from the review are expected to form recommendations to improve the capacities of the IFRC and African National Societies to manage and mobilize resources for responding to slow onset disasters. With this strengthened capacity, it is expected that there will be opportunity to reduce loss of life, property and suffering during times of disaster.
