Strong and fragile: Learning from older people in emergencies
This report was prepared at the request of the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC) working Group. It explores the humanitarian community’s current policies and practice in responding to the needs of older people affected by disaster. It identifies ways by which older people can be seen as an asset in such circumstances as much as an underserved group with a particular set of unmet needs.
