Resonding to urban disasters: Learning from previous relief and recovery operations
by David Sanderson, Paul Knox Clarke with Leah Campbell
November 2012

ALNAP promotes sector-wide learning between humanitarian organisations and from previous experiences to improve the performance of humanitarian action. One way in which ALNAP does this is by circulating Lessons papers in response to recent humanitarian crises. These are predominantly based on evaluation findings held in ALNAP’s Evaluative Reports Database, but also draw on additional material.

Some Lessons papers below have been submitted by ALNAP members or produced in collaboration with other organisations. Others have been commissioned by the ALNAP secretariat.
