Humanitarian standards now in one place

Posted on 14 March 2012

A low-bandwidth website, JointStandards.org, launches today to provice agency staff with easy access to information on humanitarian standards.

As well as access to standards and guidelines in over 15 languages, the site also gives the opportunity to search for resources across the Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP), The Sphere Project and People In Aid websites.

As well as the website, HAP, The Sphere Project and People In Aid have collaborated in a Joint Standards Initiative deployment to the Horn of Africa to assist agencies in responding to the crisis, following previous collaborations in Haiti and Myanmar. Further information on this deployment can also be found on jointstandards.org. More examples of evaluative information from the Horn of Africa can also be found on the website; Horn of Africa Learning and Accountability Portal.
