Within the humanitarian sector, there are few mechanisms in place to manage innovation in a systematic and replicable way. As part of a grant agreement with ECHO to provide financial and technical support to emerging innovations in the humanitarian sector, the HIF is aiming to translate its knowledge into a practical, grounded “Innovation Management Guide” for humanitarian response. This Guide will provide an opportunity to develop a unique evidence base for what works in relation to innovation in the humanitarian system.

We are looking for a consultant (an individual or small team) that will be responsible for shaping the Guide and developing content with the HIF team, HIF Board and other experts in the field. The consultant will be expected to ground the Guide in practical learning from the HIF portfolio, further helping to develop the evidence base for humanitarian innovation, and a framework for improved understanding.
