Freedom from Torture - Head of Quality Assurance & Information Governance

Contract: Permanent Hours: 35 per week

Location: London preferred but negotiable for the right candidate based in Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester or Newcastle

Starting Salary: £55,618 - £64,517 including London Weighting (and £51,941 - £60,251 without London Weighting).

About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Quality Assurance and Information Governance with the highest standards to drive continuous improvement of Freedom from Torture’s clinical and other services to survivors of torture, who are mostly refugees, and ensure we meet or exceed regulatory standards and best practice guidance. The role also has a number of important cross-organisational leadership responsibilities including for data protection, information governance and risk management, and oversees the team responsible for managing our clinical information.

About You

  • To be successful you will need to have relevant clinical (e.g. psychology or medicine) and management qualifications, or bring equivalent demonstrable experience in a clinical or similar setting, a command of data protection legislation and information governance best practice and an excellent working knowledge of safeguarding duties.
  • You will have experience of driving quality assurance and quality improvement programmes and methodologies in a service setting like ours and of designing information management systems and other data capture for management reporting and business intelligence.
  • You will have outstanding analytical skills and the ability to translate insight into system-level solutions.
  • You will have a strong compliance orientation and the skill and confidence to oversee and work with senior managers on organisational risk management processes.
  • The ability to communicate data to a wide range of audiences and formulate reporting tools to track service performance, themes and trends is also essential.
