This report provides insight into local community perspectives on resilience and will help inform discussions on the complex nature of resilience initiatives within Somalia. The research supplies practitioners with key indicative insights into the context and perspectives of local communities, who often conceptualise resilience differently than donors and implementing partners do. With these key findings in mind, Samuel Hall further assesses theoretical, operational, and policy insights to help donors and implementing partners. Resilience programming in Somalia is not ineffective. Still, its results are still merely accumulative, and there is room for synergistic improvements. This assessment makes clear that donors are the key agents of change, emphasizing the critical nature of coordination and long-term over short-term priorities.
