SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL has been working to improve agro-pastoral activities in the Kidal region in Mali since 2015. Activities include the rehabilitation of water points, the structuring of water management committees, hygiene promotion, and the training of community leaders for awareness-raising and mobilisation. Implicitely, these activities also aimed at reducing conflicts between breeders and the local population that uses water for domestic uses. This case study presents good practices implemented in the framework of this project to help alleviate these tensions, and provides recommandations for similar projects.
