The evaluation covers the Somalia PRRO 200443 operation “Strengthening food and nutrition security and enhancing resilience”. It was intended for both accountability and learning and focuses on assessing: i) the appropriateness and coherence of the operation; ii) its results; and iii) the factors explaining the results. The evaluation assessed the following activities: nutritional support to children under five, pregnant and lactating women; HIV/TB care and treatment; nutritional assistance to internally displaced communities; general food distribution; school meals; and cash and vouchers. The evaluation, which makes a number of recommendations for the future, was managed and conducted by DARA, with fieldwork taking place in January 2015.
