Communicating Humanitarian Learning

How do humanitarians want to engage with knowledge & evidence?

Humanitarians produce a wealth of research and knowledge and have so much personal experience to share too. Yet, recent ALNAP research found little evidence on how to best communicate this learning to positively impact on policy and practice.

ALNAP is committed to doing more to understand humanitarians’ different motivations, challenges and preferences for learning and communication, so knowledge and evidence can reach our global community in the right format, in the right place and at the right time, according to their needs.

We are also determined to support the sector to build a more evidence-based understanding of how different groups learn, so we can work together to ensure knowledge and evidence turns into improved policy and practice.
