Humanitarian responses in urban environments are often complex and full of challenges.
In urban settings the risk of destruction, loss of assets and human life is often higher than in rural areas. The world has rapidly urbanised over past decades. Cities continue to grow and the proportion of humanitarian responses in urban settings is likely to increase.
Here we aim to provide agencies currently engaged in, or planning a response to an urban humanitarian crisis, with resources about urban humanitarian response, urban preparedness and early recovery.
