Key Aid Consulting conducted an evaluation of the Enhanced Readiness to Respond (R2R) grants of the American Red Cross (AmRC) covering the 2015 to 2019 period. Over the years, five main programmatic areas have been prioritised by the AmRC to contribute to a better readiness to respond: Cash Transfer Programming (CTP); Information Management; Information Technology & Telecommunications; Operational Leadership; and Planning. The grants were also consistently implemented across three layers within the Red Cross Crescent Movement: the AmRC, the International Federation of the Red Cross (IFRC) and the AmRC’s Partners National Societies. Using an outcome harvesting methodology, the evaluation looked at the five thematic areas across the three layers of implementation. To this aim, Key Aid Consulting conducted 60 interviews with different stakeholders across the world, disseminated an online survey and drafted small life-stories to illustrate the report. The final report has been published on the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies evaluation database.
