The purpose of this evaluation is to assess UNICEF Zimbabwe’s humanitarian response to the COVID-19 pandemic to reflect on the results achieved and identify key lessons from the ongoing COVID-19 response work. The evaluation results will be used to strengthen UNICEF’s accountability within the organization, to national and international stakeholders, and for learning.

The results will also be used to inform future public health and emergency response preparedness plans and related capacity-building initiatives. By being conducted at the early stages of the new Zimbabwe Country Programme, the evaluation will also inform how the country program will adjust its processes and approaches based on these results.
