The key objective of this study is to conduct a Rapid Assessment on child labour for Jordanian and Syrian children in the agricultural sector in Mafraq governorate and the Jordan Valley, which includes the governorates of Irbid, Balqa and Karak. The RA set out to determine the nature, pattern, distribution, dynamics and causes of child labour in agriculture for Jordanian and Syrian refugees, in addition to learning more about the socio-economic characteristics of the working children and their families; health, safety, education and rights of the working children, as well as suggesting possible policy options, legislation and other protective measures to address the issue of child labour in Jordan’s agricultural sector. The instrument of data collection included literature reviews, household surveys, structured and semi-structured interviews, FGDs, and key informants.
