Urban agriculture (UA) is practiced inside (intraurban) or on the outskirts (periurban) of a town or
a city. While it focuses on raising food and animal crops, it includes recycling household waste and wastewater for agricultural purposes, the processing and distribution of different food and non-food products using human and material resources, products, and services that are found in the same or surrounding areas. In turn, UA supplies that area with resources and materials.
