In 2014, Pakistan has been heavily hit by sudden floods due to torrential rains across Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. IFRC and PRCS jointly launched a response to provide immediate relief to the flood affectees in the selected districts of the 3 regions (Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir). Food and non-food items were distributed amongst the selected beneficiaries, along with delivery of emergency health services. This report looks into the impact of operations in a holistic approach and suggests the means and ways to improve response preparedness and future responses.
