The mid-term evaluation covers the Malawi PRRO 200692 operation "Responding to Humanitarian Needs and Strengthening Resilience". It was intended for both accountability and learning and focuses on assessing: i) the appropriateness and coherence of the operation; ii) its results; and iii) the factors explaining the results. The evaluation assessed the following activities: 1) targeted food assistance and conditional targeted food assistance 2) messaging and counselling on specialized nutritious foods and infant and young child feeding (IYCF) practices 3) food assistance for assets (FFA). The evaluation, which makes a number of recommendations for the future, was managed and conducted by a consultancy firm, with fieldwork taking place in February-March 2016.
